Antique Japanese Sword WW2.
I obtained this sword about a 6 months ago from a collector of Japanese swords.
He specializes in Japanese swords in Gunto military koshira with old family blades.
Some officers in the Japanese military during WW2 had their old blades fitted in, at that time, modern fittings.
This sword is such an item. It is an old 15th or 16th century blade fitted into WW2 fittings.
It is a nice sword for an intermediate collector.   The blade has an old polish with one very small imperfection that is about 1/8" in diameter.
The blade is not signed but many blades even by reputable smiths were not signed.
