    This is a Japanese Meiji, WWll Army officer`s sword in
    kyu-gunto
    mountings.   The blade is unsigned,
    o-suriage shinogi-zukuri
    shape, Edo period ca.1650 era made old family blade.
    The blade is in old polish, no rust, no stain and in good condition.       The temper line is attractive
    gunome
    midare
    with
    ko-nie
    active temper and has deep
    temper at the point.      Forging grain is tight
    itame
    -hada
    , no opening, no blister and no forging flaws.      There is no bend, no nick, no crack and cutting edge is sharp.       The scabbard is chromed metal scabbard, no dent, no bend, no chrome loss and in excellent condition.     The handle is tight fit with D guard brass handle, brass wire wrapping is no cut, no loose also in good condition.      Lock mechanism works fine.   It measures 28+1/8" tip to the guard, 27+5/8" cutting edge, 1+1/8" width, 5.5 mm thickness at the notch and 35+1/2" in mountings.       Shipping is priority in U.S.   No international shipping.  Payment dues within 3 days auction end.
