Description
Common bayonet with uncommon marking to the Rikugun Zoheisho Arsenal in the Koishikawaarea of Tokyo.
This arsenal was seriously damaged in a 1923 earthquake and its operations transferred to Kokuru in 1935. We assume that this means the bayonet dates prior to that closing date.
Nice markings and scabbard. Blade has been sharpened with grind marks visible near end of one side of the quillon.
There is a serial number on the pommel cap.
Shipping weight 3 pounds.
