Have you ever used a Model 200 with extra memory modules in it? Keep a backup of files for revision in one bank, and if you need to, just copy it back from the other bank. Keep documents in one bank, and programs in another. If one program crashes the machine, the rest of the memory is protected and safe. It's like having three machines in one! I can't imagine going back to a machine with only one bank of memory.
These are new manufacture with modern components, not the old power hogs that Tandy and others were making back in the 1980s. I have quite a collection of Tandy 200s and the RAM is hard to find. When you can find it, it is unreliable and kills your battery life. Since I'm an engineer by day and an engineering hobbyist by night, I decided to design my own memory modules for the Tandy 200. They worked beautifully and the battery life was astounding. I was etching my own circuit boards at the time, which made for difficult mass-production, but I was able to make enough to even sell some here on eBay. Once I finished that run, I received e-mails asking for more. I figured it was time to get them professionally made, so here they are, back by semi-popular demand!
This listing is for one module. The photo with two installed is just to show how a fully-populated Model 200 looks. You will receive the module in static-safe packaging along with some easy-to-follow installation instructions. Installation takes no more than a minute, and only involves pushing the module into the socket under the cover in the bottom of the machine. Easy!
