WW2 JAPANESE SWORD, M-95 SHIN - GUNTO

Description

FIRST - this item was found in my late father's belongings. I know NOTHING about it. There was a note attached to the sword when I got it and I will pass that info along as that is all I can say about it.
It is a WWII Japanese M95 NCO Shin-Gunto Sword from the Toyoko Arsenal. Pre-1945.
There is Japanese writting on both sides of the blade. I have no idea what they say.
Blade from tip to Suba is 26 1/2 inches.
I have added a lot of fotos if you need any more please ask.
I know there are sometimes wtitting on the inside handle of swords - however - since I know nothing about them I will not remove the handle to check, If it is signed - my loss your gain.
