JAPANESE BAYONET TYPE 30 TOYODA w/ SHEATH & FROG
The b
ayonet
is in nice condition with a nice contoured handle. It is nicely maker marked for Toyoda with a very readable serial number and kanji symbol on the end of the pommel.
The blade has all of the original bluing except
some minor areas
where there is finish wear from being inserted and removed. The blade has the factory edge.
The g
rips have no cracks
and have slight surface wear. They are a darker brown and are securely
attached.
The handle area has very nice bluing.
The s
heath
is
in great
condition with
1 shallow depression below the frog on the front and some minor ones on the back side. The bluing is very nice with only some minor edge finish wear on one edge.
The leather frog is in very good condition. It has some minor surface wear and it is strong and pliable.
All rivets and sewing are strong.
There may be a stamp on the leather just above the scabbard throat. I took a closeup picture.
The bayonet goes in and out with little resistance.
