This is an original WWII Japanese Cavalry troopers NCO Saber from World War 2. The blade and the mountings are in
Excellent
condition. The blade is 30.5 inches long (77cm) and has a fuller the entire length of the blade. The hilt is metal and the stampings are visible. The grip is checkered wood. The scabbard is metal and shows a small dent and scattered small spots of oxidation along its length. The blade is in
Excellent
condition. There are no nicks, a few small scattered spots of rust, and a few scattered scratches along its length. The blade and the scabbard are both numbered 42156. I think this Cavalry Saber would be an excellent addition for a collection of WW2 militaria or Japanese swords.
