    Description

Up for bids is this WWII Japanese Army bayonet & scabbard.  It is the early pattern that was made with a bright blade and a ball at the end of the scabbard.  It was made at Nagoya Arsenal which operated from 1923-1945.  The markings on the bayonet are the Nagoya Arsenal logo on the ricasso and numbers on the pommel.  Blade retains approximately 95% original bright polish on the blade and it has had arsenal sharpening.  There are no nicks, bends or abuse on the blade.  There are several slash marks by the point.  Grips are in good condition with some minor bruising only.  All is tight.  The bluing on the guard, pommel and scabbard is thinning in spots but overall is strong.  No dents to scabbard.  There is also very light rust speckling on all blued parts.  Overall, this piece is in above average condition and has been stored since 1945.
Will ship to U.S. addresses only.  Will ship via USPS Priority Mail.  Please ask any and all questions prior to bidding/buying.  Thank you.
